Dell Update Driver Security Flaw

 
In December a vulnerability was found in the software that updates an internal part of Dell computers. Dell desktops, laptops, and tablets built since 2009 and running Windows can be exploited to grant rogue users and malware system-administrator-level access to the computers. A notification of the vulnerability was published on 04-MAY-2021.

I use Dell computers with a lot of my customers and am busy checking and patching.

A patch has been released by Dell to fix this vulnerability. Affected users should download and run this program from Dell:

Helpfully, the patch will search your computer and tell you if you have the vulnerable driver installed, which is nice!
